The Basics

Typical paint projects range from ceilings and walls to trim, windows and doors.  With all those elements, it is easy to be overwhelmed with paint choices.  It is particularly helpful at those times to stick with some basic general guidelines.  

The walls should be the main focus for adding color and depth to rooms while ceilings, baseboards paint generally provide a fine clean contrast to the main color scheme.  For this reason, interior designers often use white or an Off White paint for ceilings and any trim- though paint finish may vary.  

 

White and Off White Paints

Standard operating procedure is to paint all ceilings, trim and baseboards white though interior designers are increasingly using Off White colors to enhance rooms.  These color enhancements though subtle can change rooms from a soft natural ambiance feel to a clean and orderly pristiness.
